Law & Order!

Dear Parents,

Year 5 have started their new and final Unit of Inquiry for the year called 'Law and Order'. The children are taking more ownership of this unit by being involved in the planning stages and getting to decide what trips they go on too! If you have any ideas for a field trip you could help organise maybe because of where you work, then please let your child know. The types of places that we would be interested in visiting are:

Police Stations
Magistrates Courts
Company Headquarters
Embassy Buildings
Council Offices
City Hall etc...

To finish our last Unit of Inquiry the children will get to take home some mini pots with seeds ready to carry out a light experiment on the growth of plants at home over the next two weeks. Again if you could help to organise a suitable place to keep the pots that would be great!

The plants can be transferred outside straight into soil once strong enough but while inside will need to be kept on a plastic water proof tray/container as the pots are made of peat and not waterproof.

Finally, if you have pictures that your children have taken during school trips/residentials or that you may have taken during sports day or international day etc please could you fwd them to me via email as we are selecting the best pictures to be included in our ICS Yearbook!

Thanks for your ongoing help and support this year,

Ms Fatema
